Résonance Festival Choir
Led by Principal Conductor A. Barron Breland, the Résonance Festival Choir is an auditioned choir of professional, young artist and community singers who perform major choral works with orchestra. As a member, you are joining a community in its commitment to bringing engaging, choral story-telling performances to the metropolitan area.
Schedule
The Festival Choir meets:
- Sundays from 6:00 - 8:30 pm, August 18 - Sept 29 (No rehearsal September 1)
- Saturday, Sept 28 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
- Oct 1 and 2 from 7:00 - 9:30 pm: Rehearsal with Orchestra
- Oct 3 at 7:30 pm: Performance at Countryside Community Church
Membership includes
- Personal vocal score and study materials
- 1 complimentary/reserved ticket to the performance

Membership requirements
- Annual Membership Dues: $95
- Attend at least 4 rehearsals Aug 18 - Sept 22
- Attend all rehearsals Sept 28, 29, Oct 1 and 2

What to Expect at an In-person Audition (about 15 minutes)
- Fill out an Audition Questionnaire
- Vocalize to show tone color and vocal range
- Sing a familiar song to assess musicianship
- Sing a brief sight-reading excerpt
- Answer any questions you might have about the Festival Choir
What to Expect for a Virtual Audition
- Submit any example of your singing showing off the best quality of your tone and ability
- Submit performance resume (optional, recommended)
What to Expect after the Audition
- Acceptance Notification will be sent August 1
- First rehearsal is August 18
- Membership Dues are due at first rehearsal (unless payment plan is arranged)
