Résonance Festival Choir
Led by Principal Conductor A. Barron Breland, the Résonance Festival Choir is an auditioned choir of professional, young artist and community singers who perform major choral works with orchestra. As a member, you are joining a community in its commitment to bringing engaging, choral story-telling performances to the metropolitan area.
Schedule
The 2026/27 season of Festival Choir meets:
- Sundays from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, August 23 - October 18 (No rehearsal September 6, October 4)
- October 20 and 21 from 7:00 - 9:30 pm: Rehearsal with Orchestra
- October 22 at 7:30 pm: POULENC GLORIA at Countryside Community Church
*ADD ON JOHN WILLIAMS EXPERIENCE
- September 29 from 7:00 - 10:00 pm
- October 1 from 7:00 - 9:30 pm: Rehearsal with Maestro Richardson
- October 2 from 2:30 - 5:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:30 pm: Rehearsal with Orchestra
- October 3 at 7:30 pm and October 4 at 2:00 pm: THE AWARD-WINNING MUSIC OF JOHN WILLIAMS with the Omaha Symphony at Holland Center

Membership requirements
- Annual Membership Dues: $105
- Attend at least 4 of 6 rehearsals Aug 23, 30, Sept 13, 20, 27, Oct 11
- Attend rehearsals Sept 29, Oct 1 and 2 *for those adding the 'John Williams Add On Experience'
- Attend rehearsals Oct 18, 20, 21

What to Expect at an In-person Audition (about 15 minutes)
- Fill out an Audition Questionnaire
- Vocalize to show tone color and vocal range
- Sing a familiar song to assess musicianship
- Sing a brief sight-reading excerpt
- Answer any questions you might have about the Festival Choir
What to Expect for a Virtual Audition
- Submit any example of your singing showing off the best quality of your tone and ability
- Submit performance resume (optional, recommended)
What to Expect after the Audition
- Acceptance Notification will be sent by August 1
- Membership Dues are due at first rehearsal (unless payment plan is arranged)
